Missing canonical tag

A canonical tag (<link rel="canonical">) tells search engines which URL is the authoritative version of a page's content — important when the same content is reachable via multiple URLs (with/without trailing slash, tracking parameters, http vs https, etc.).

Why it matters

Without a canonical, search engines have to guess which URL variant to index and rank, which can split ranking signals across duplicate URLs instead of consolidating them onto one.
