Page missing from sitemap.xml

Your sitemap.xml is the explicit list of URLs you're telling search engines to crawl and index. A page that's live, linked, and indexable but absent from the sitemap is relying purely on search engines discovering it through crawling — slower and less reliable than a direct listing.

Why it matters

Sitemap omissions delay discovery of new pages and, for larger sites, can mean some pages never get crawled at all if they're not well-linked internally either.

How to fix it

Regenerate or update your sitemap.xml to include every indexable page you want ranked.
Automate sitemap generation from your actual routes/content rather than maintaining it by hand.
Re-submit the updated sitemap in Google Search Console after fixing gaps.
